This work is an extension and revisit of themes that I began to look at way back in 2014. It was around this time that the Scottish Independence referendum quickly followed by Brexit, pushed nationhood into becoming a very pressing issue for the UK.
Sill focusing on the UK, this new work addresses a more general sense of social unease – shifting cohesion, connections, dependencies and structures - to look at the isolation & atomisation of contemporary corporate/tech led society as a whole.
The photographs range from the national extremities of airspace and Channel Island coastlines, through to intimate meeting rooms, lone figures and huge structures at the heart of our cities.
